A detached pub cottage-styled Banks’s pub, with central doorway and Salmon coloured exterior.
The interior is open plan – a U-shape around the central serving bar. The décor is cream and wood panel with a couple of yellow patterned wallpaper chimney beasts and a white ceiling. There are a few old photographs and old adverts on the walls for a bit of interest. The last time I was in the sheer volume of the music (despite it being decent stuff) resulted in the locals having to shout at each other to be heard, not great, especially when every other word you hear regards copulation, but it was totally quiet on a Monday evening, except for Corrie on the TV. The service was ok, the clientele this visit a couple of locals.
The beer; no real ale anymore – the Banks's MILD handpull neglected, but it was available on keg, along with the usual stuff – it was OK.
A basic place, with nothing anymore for the real ale drinker.
