Large pub, still traditional inside & has not had a lot of money spent on any major refurbs on the interior by the looks, however it is well maintained and comfortable. I like this kind of pub & found it a very nice for a beer, though it was very quiet mid afternoon. So whilst its not luxourious or modern it has a very nice traditional large roadside boozer vibe.
Friendly, there are 2 well kept real ales.

The pub is a large, detached, 1930s brick building, with several entrances, originally for an outdoor, bar and smoke and assembly room, with moulded stone work. The interior has three large rooms; two bar/lounges, one with pool and darts and a dining room. The décor in our room was yellow and wood panel. There was Sky TV showing the footy. There were old picture and paintings on the walls and a nice moulded ceiling. Service was friendly. Clientele is hard to answer as the ground is near Walsall FC, so all sorts pop in. The beer; usual tap tosh with Banks’s MILD smooth and two handpulls; Everards Tiger and Sunchaser. These were ok. On my last visit there were 4 handpulls. I like this pub and would visit happily
