UPDATE: Originally the Carousel, the Lady Diana has sort of reverted to its original name - calling itself the Carra. As it was, really. All keg but friendly enough.

UPDATE Dec 2011 - a little note. A friend of mine has found the reason, as the people that run the Prince of Wales down the road are also running this pub, hence Lady Diana. If they take over another they would have a triangle - they could change that one aptly to the 'Camilla'

A full re-review, as the pub closed and re-opened under new management changing the name from the Carousel to the Lady Diana in the process. Quite why it is the Lady Diana now is a little beyond me, as she never visited it. This cottage-styled pub is now in white render and there is a patio area at the back.
The interior is still the L-shape room that it was, with the serving bar facing you as you walk in.The decor has some half white and cream walls, with some walls boasting red/brown etc stripped wallpaper. There is a white ceiling with a moulded cornice and a tiled floor. There are a couple of brick fires at either end of the pub, both having nice fires going. The pool table has gone and some DJ sound equipment stood idle - mine was a daytime visit, so i assume it is for evening activties! Some scooter pictures were on the walls and there was a TV at one end showing the footy. It has red perimeter seating and stools with some tables that look left over from the days of the Carousel. The service was very friendly and a few locals were in at my visit.
Beer; still no real-ale, all keg stuff with the usual suspects including Banks's MILD and bitter - the Bitter was as fine as it can be.
Nothing much for the real-ale drinker, as before. But the place has been tidied-up and has hopefully turned the corner from the days when it was less savoury to visit

Update: the Prince of Wales management was originally involved in the reopeninv of the Diana - however for a few years there has been no connection and the current landlord of the Diana is a sole trader

This was the first pub i found open on my Bloxwich pub crawl and i did'nt like the look of it from the outside.
Once inside there was one largish room that was empty on my visit and there was only one real ale on the bar this was Banks's mild and this was a decent drink.
