Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Ye Olde Horseshoe Inn
Fine old inn with unusual curved brickwork on the corner of the building. The bar is surprisingly small (and thus quite homely), but mostly full with those eating despite the larger dining areas further along. Three cask ales available on handpump: Landlord and - the inevitable in these parts - HPA (£4.40) and Butty Bach from Wye Valley.

We landed here on the lunchtime of Christmas Eve, mainly because it was the only place locally where we could get a table. It has only re-opened fairly recently hence the lack of lunchtime bookings. A two roomed local set out in contemporary decor - I wasn't sure if the small branches with lights on that were tied to the ceiling were a permanent fixture or festive decorations.
The service was delivered with a smile and hopefully a few minor rough edges will smooth out as the young staff who served us gain some experience. Food was fine - we had bacon baguettes and sandwiches.
The usual suspects were on tap with Wye Valley HPA and Enville Ale on handpull. These were both fine too. The place is a bit out of my way but I would happily pop back in if I was over in that direction.
