Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Tap & Tandoor

The former Sadlers Arms is now firmly established as a self-described 'Indian gastro-pub' and was doing very good business when I called in early on a Wednesday evening. The layout doesn't seem to have altered, but the character of the place certainly has (and for the better in many ways). No real ale these days, but a pretty good selection of (mostly) craft beers plus a cider from 12 taps on the bar-back, including Charlie Don't Surf session IPA from Alphabet Brewing (£3.80). I will also add that the service was both friendly and efficient.

As the name suggests Indian food and craft ales! Quite an interesting choice of beers on tap and a variety of bottles. The food looked and smelt excellent although we didn't have time to eat. I went for Hopwork Orange - an American pale ale - which was excellent. I hope this place does well as it is a little different and well worth a visit.

A Marston’s house, much as Mr Dragon describes below, although my recent Monday evening visit found it with a reasonable atmosphere, and three handpulls, drawing Old Empire, Hobgoblin, and Brakspear’s Oxford Gold, the last of which was a decent enough pint at £2.72

Large corner pub, in half brick and part timber/render, with beer patio

The interior, like many Solihull town centre places, is open plan, pubco, foody and soulless. The decor is white and wood panel mainly, with some old photos for interest and several Sky TVs. There is a mix of sofa and table/chairs, with a few decorative twigs. Service was functional, the clientele the same mix and quantity as most other places in Solihull; O'Neills for example.

Beer; tap stuff, with a poor Pedigree on handpull. There were two other pumps not used.

Not my kind of thing. If the beer was drinkable, it would have been better.
