Strongers . left this review about Hockley House
Hockley House is a big building with a large events space in the left where lots of ten-seater circular tables with white tablecloths could be seen through the windows. The carpeted bar area is found in the centre where a serving counter across the rear wall faces high tables and stools to the right of a central chimney breast and double-sided fireplace with log burner in situ. On the left-hand side of the burner are some coffee tables and sofas. Standard keg was available from the bar alongside Madri and Pravha, the service was very polite. I didn’t note any televisions, but jazz background music was playing from a Spotify account. To the right of the bar is a large dining room that was empty due to the kitchen being closed, in fact I was the only customer during a recent midweek afternoon visit. I think this place must earn most of its money from weddings, although I think most brides would want a venue that had been decorated at some point the last decade.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Hockley House
Much extended pub / restaurant / hotel / events venue, with various separate entrances. However, the bar area and general dining room are nothing fancy, and there is a beer garden on part of the large grassed area at the front. No cask ale these days, so made do with a Sharp's Atlantic (£4.70) in preference to the keg Doom Bar.
