Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Bulls Head

Food-led pub in the centre of a small village, looking good from the street early on a sunny evening. Compact but busy bar, even on a Monday, although the slightly larger dining room to the right was empty. However, there there were a good few other people out in the tidy decking / artificial grass beer beyond that, and also on a few wooden benches at the front. Landlord and a decent pint of Butty Bach (£5.10) from two of the three handpumps.

Nice little pub as described by Soup below, indeed doesn't look like much has changed in forty years or so. The semi-rural villages around Solihull are and always were fabulously wealthy dormitories for Birmingham businessmen and tend to be fairly sterile; the Bull's Head is a welcome sign of life.

It's in the current GBG and the Mad Goose on top form. Well worth a visit.

An interesting pub from a different era. 1930s, I would say.

Loads of awards in the foyer (Camra pub of the year, 20 years in the GBG) and into the lounge.

Unchanged for decades by the look of it.

Four real ales on, and I went for an excellent Hobsons - at £3.40.

Lots of people ordering food, having booked tables - so must be good.

An experience worth making a trip for.

A nice white rendered detached country pub, with beer garden and more gables than you can shake a stick at. In the GBG 2010.

The interior has three rooms, one of which appeared to be a dining room, which i didn't really see. The bar is in white decor and is quite small, with some sport and other memorabilia on the walls, as well as pictures of the pub. The lounge, again, i didnt see much of, only that it was also in white and had an extra hanpull beer on. We mainly spent our time in the nice beer garden. The service was fine and the clientele, several mature patrons. There was no music and no TV. The place does food, but we did not eat.

Beer; tap stuff with M&B MILD. On handpull there was Adnams Bitter, Purity Goose, Hook Norton Hooky Bitter, which was fine and St Austell Tribute, which was lurking in the lounge!

Another pleasant country pub experience - Solihull town centre maybe as enjoyable as lunch with Vlad the Impaler, but they have some nice country pubs!
