A detached cream rendered pub, with blue paintwork. It has an interesting curved shape, like a crescent, with a large bow window in the lower middle.
The interior had a single room that formed a U-shape around the central serving bar. The decor was a mix of colours; white, blue, salmon, yellow, coffee, with a white ceiling. There was a pool table at either end of the pub, with also a bar footy table and a dart board. There is some pop art on the walls of the 'bar' end and motor bike stuff in the other end, along with an Isle of Man flag. The music was general and at a decent level and a TV with some news channel was on at the far end. the service was friendly and indeed, the landlady was preparing free curry, rice and chips for those in at 9.30 - sadly i left before i could try it. The clientele was a mix of locals, of all ages, but it was generally quiet.
Beer; all keg stuff, with Banks's MILD. I had a Banks's Bitter shandy.
I was happy to pop in for one, but as there is no real ale, one is all i would have. The best of the three pubs i did on the day. A building that has some charater.
