An impressive looking detached cream rendered pub, with beer garden and proundly displaying a date of 1693 painted on it's wall.
The interior has a single L-shaped open-plan room 'technically', but is divided into four areas. There is a games room at one end, with a pool table and dart board which is in a white and green colour and has a TV (not on at my visit). There are a couple of lounge-like areas at the other end of the pub, in red and white and green, with TVs, showing BBC 3 Top Gear at my visit, with prints on the walls. The main bar is between the two. It is in red, white and undressed brick and has a brick chimny feature with a nice little fire in a 'stove'. It has general pictures. The TV was on with the same programme. There was no music. The service was fine and the clientele a family and few other locals. The place does food, but i didn't eat so can't comment on that.
Beer; all tap stuff, no real ale, with Banks's keg MILD.
This is a nice tidy place, it is just so sad it doesn't have a real ale - and perhaps one too many TVs! It seems really good for families and if you are happy with keg beer, you should be comfy enough here.

lovely pub full pub menu tasty food, clean and tidy. land..lord and lady are really polite and welcoming. weekends karaoke and disco i had a really good nite. great place to bring children at week ends. large tidy, enclosed beer garden to front of the pub. highly recomended.
