A nice little detached cottage styled corner pub and eatery, with low level extension, in white render and black paintwork.
The interior has a couple of rooms; a lounge and a bar connected by a passageway. The lounge is L-shaped open-planish room in the 80s styled white artex walls and red artex ceiling, with fake beams on the walls and ceiling. There is a small fireplace, the old copper styled tables with stools and a TV showing the footy. Brass mirrors are on the walls and they serve curries here at £5-6 and although i didn't eat, i wish i had. The low extension is for the bar room. It has a pool table and dart board and also a TV showing the footy. The decor was again, white and red, but there was some wood panel and a tiled floor. An iron post supports the roof. There was no music, the service was fine and the clientele seemed mainly to be a mixed bunch of regulars and it was quite busy on both occasions i visited.
Beer; three real ales, though one had gone, leaving Enville Ale and Bass, with the usual keg drinks including M&B MILD. The MILD and the Enville were both fine.
A great little pub. In an area of up and down places, this is definately one of the best - worth a visit if around - maybe a curry too!
