Ye Olde Foundry entrance leads to a bare boarded L-shaped bar area with a counter that supports standard keg and Cruzcampo alongside four hand pumps. Robinson’s Trooper was badged on two pumps and the other two were reverse clipped. A pool table hides behind an exposed brick wall that houses a burner to the left. Some sofa seating is found through a brick arch to the right. The background music was very much rock, in fact this is a rockers pub with regular live music. The service was polite, but I prefer 70s disco so this place didn’t really grab me.

Still a "rock" pub. I have always liked this pub but I hadn't been in for a few years. Castle Rock Harvest Pale and Sharps Atlantic on offer. The Harvest Pale was fine.

Not too bad. It now seems to be a rock orientated pub. Several areas to sit with the servery being central. 4 handpumps on the bar with only Castle Rock Harvest Pale and an Orchard Pig cider on today. Scary Slipknot, Korn and assorted growl metal stuff being the background music. Grrrrrr

This is a corner pub with patio area. It is a 1920/30s rebuild - i think due to road widening - replacing an earlier pub then called the Coach & Horses. The pub is in undressed brick, and has Dutch gables, with moulded stone around the Roman entrances and has the crest of a foundryman above the main doorway. The interior run all around the central island serving bar. Technically open plan, it is divided-up where the old rooms would have been. White and green feature heavily, including a green mural wall, and there is some patterned wallpaper. There is a wood floor. It is a rock pub, but the music was general and at a decent level. The TV was not on. A few old photos are on the walls, as is a dart board, although you would have to move the furniture a bit. The service was OK and the clientele were local. Beer; usual tap stuff with a fairly dull Green King IPA and Pedigree on handpull. Uninspiring beer and a rather uninspiring place. One for the locals.

I enjoy this pub.The beers good and most of the regulars are friendly. This pub has an outdoor area for the smokers, but, is noisey by the main road
