The White Swan has been known locally as "Tommy Turners" for as long as I can remember as a nod the former landlord from 1954 to 1980. Now called Turners, I shall visit again soon!

A detached white rendered corner pub with black paintwork.
The interior has a couple of rooms and is deceptively big. Approaching via the front door, there is a lounge room on the left, which is a straight room in white, with a brick fire and a picture of the pub, so a bit plain. I have never seen it used in either of my visits. The bar room is to the right. This is in cream and wood panel, with white ceiling and has a pool table, dart board and a TV, which had a music channel on, supplying the music at a decent level. This room extends out at the back and up a few steps into a family room, in the same decor, with tables/chairs and stools, but again, the lights were off here. Again, there are no real pictures or ephemera. The service is really friendly, as are the mixed local clientele.
Beer; no real ale, all keg stuff, with an OK Banks’s MILD.
I really enjoyed my visits here for the friendly banter. Sadly, no real ale, so nothing for the beer fan.
