In reality a restraunt based in a pub,in a small hamlet with the brook running around one side.Entering from the carpark the first question you are asked is "do you have a table booked ?".There is a bar but there is table service for drinks and waiting staff scurry about. The interior is rustic with farmhouse style dining furniture over three room, some covered bench seating in a front snug but all tables everywhere set for dining.Old beams and an unused small inglenook show the buildings age but there is little pub atmosphere and ballards as a soundtrack.
Decent pub grub with a good value £12.50 lunchtime menu attracting diners,a la carte is more expensive but much the same options. The one real ale was a decent pint of TT Landlord,£5.50 NBSS 4 otherwise keg dross.
Should this place be included in Pubsgalore ? I didn't ask the question of can a punter just drink in here, there was a solitary bar stool ,and the pub is open longer than the food service hours so maybe between 8pm and 10pm just drinking at a dining table might be acceptable. In good weather there are a lot of pic nic benches outside ,so possibly in the summer villagers and others can drink outside. In conclusion ,I will leave this on the site, but if visiting don't expect any boozer vibe.
