Struggling to work out how to get past the footpath closures of HS2, I thought I would repair at the nearby Railway Pub - closed and I cannot find it on here. Fear not, this is just up the road and fully open.
Quite hansome exterior - a little sparse internally, with several tables setup for dining. The one thing of note was two rows of sofas setup in an alcove in front of TV screen. Very cinema-esque. Nice beer garden.
Butty Bach and Doombar on cask - but with only ladies who lunch on processco and cokes - and it being the hottest day of the year - I played safe with a > £5 birra moretti.
Friednly landlady.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Brickmakers Arms
Attractive pub, set back from the road a bit, with timbers (whether functional or not) between the dark brown brickwork and a wide front porch. The plainly furnished compact bar is accessed from the right-hand entrance, but the other door initially leads to what is now a side room with the larger lounge located up several steps at the back. Tidy wooden furniture in the latter but the decor is rather lighter than one might expect from the façade. Three handpumps on the lounge counter, offering Marston's EPA, Landlord and Dragon's Fire from Lees (£3.70).

The Bricklayers Arms is a decent looking pub that is a short walk up from the Railway Tavern.
Once inside the pub has two separate rooms the front bar had no real ales on the bar, the rear lounge which is up a few steps had three real ales on,we decided to go into the rear room which is more comfortable than the front room, the seating in the rear room is comfy bench type and normal tables and chairs, the room is carpeted, background music was playing.
I had a drink of Wye Valley HPA which was quite a nice drink, the other beers were Doom Bar and Old Speckled Hen.
This is a decent pub to have a few drinks in.

this pub is very clicky and does not welcome any newcomers, it's decor is very tiered and could do with a refurb,
