A detached Banks's pub. I think this is an 1830s beerhouse, which was extended (and likely toffed-up) in the 1930s after the housing expansions. It is in white brick with blue paintwork. It has two neo-classic doors flanking a central bay window, with an upper Dutch gable, with finials, which carries the pub name. The interior has an L-shaped room, now the interior walls have gone. It is in cream patterned wallpaper and dark wood panel, with a red ceiling. There is a brick fireplace. There is a pool table and dart board. The TV had a music channel on, which was playing at a decent enough level. The pub has local footy team flags and memorabilia, sadly with Man Utd too. The service was fine and the clientele consisted of a few locals. Beer; usual tap stuff, with Banks's Bitter and MILD (decent enough) on handpull. A run-of-the-mill pub, really.
