Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Tyburn House
Substantial Sizzling pubco outlet in an interesting-looking building, although the various seating / dining areas in the opened-out L-shaped interior have been given the expected anonymous, semi-modern treatment. The three handpumps on the counter are also a mirage, despite the reversed Greene King IPA and Doom Bar clips, because none of the bar staff could remember how long age they were last used. Consoled myself with a John Smith's at just £2.15.

A Sizzling pub chain pub/eatery, with patio area. The pub is situated between the canal and a major road junction and its history goes back centuries, although today the pub appears to be a 30s rebuild. I think, looking at the early OS maps, that the square end part of the building (with mansard roof) is a part of an older building, older, but there in 1880s. It has all been Tudorised, with a stone face, as well as stone windows (with Ansells carved in one). The interior is now open plan, with a bar one side of the serving bar, and a dining area the other. The bar has darts, pool, TVs(sport) and a little tiled fireplace. This area was occupied by the lads. The dining area has a raised section. It is in purple, red, cream, orange and wood panel. Some silly vases are at one end and a kid's grabbing machine at the other. There are lots of mirrors, but no pictures on the walls. The service was fine and the clientele here, mixed and all dining. Beer; usual tap stuff with a decent enough M&B MILD. On handpull, thankfully the GK IPA clips were turned. We did eat here and the food was fine. Happy enough to have popped in, but nothing really for a real ale fan.

The only pub in postcode B35, its a stone clad imposing building on the road island junction of the Chester and Tyburn Roads.
Its a 'Sizzling' pub, so you get what you expect from that chain - food and family friendly. However, its slightly more unusual than some of the others, for example the grand stone castle-like fire place, and it does not quite feel totally formula, which is good.
Comfortable, its ok, large, lots of seating in different areas. Not sure about the fruit machines & the swing & grab in the middle of the room.
Pool table in 'bar'area as you walk in.
One real ale - Marstons EPA - not brilliant, but at least had a bit of taste!
