Strongers . left this review about The Queens

The Queens is a Robinsons pub with televisions throughout for live sport, but during a recent midweek evening visit these were all off, which I assumed was because the football was on Prime Video rather than Sky or TNT which were advertised. However, there was some very low background music playing. In the front left is a carpeted room with floral wallpaper and brown banquettes. On the left wall to the rear is a dartboard with a prominent dartboard painted background. In the right rear corner is a U shaped serving counter that supports three hand pumps that were drawing Dizzy Blonde and Unicorn, service is cash only. Along the front right windows is a raised seating area with a red carpet and another dartboard. I thought the service and locals were very friendly and I’d have no issue revisiting.

This has recently been refurbished by Robbies to within an inch of its life. It's now featureless and characterless. There's a small lounge area to the left and a further one up a couple of steps to the right. There are two dartboards, one with a very impressive surround. Local radio playing over the sound system, I hate that, listening to adverts whilst drinking your beer. One positive is a sign saying no under 18's allowed. Unicorn & Dizzy Blonde available on the handpumps. The Dizzy was in decent nick (for Dizzy and at £1.50 very reasonably priced.

A fairly standard pub. Its an open plan place and fairly modern inside. There are 3 handpumps with Robinson's beers on. There are better pubs around but while this place isn't rubbish its probably not the place for real ale aficionados.
