Black Country Ales have done a great job with this pub. Now boasting a large selection of ales. The 2 we tried were in fine form.

After a closure, this pub has been refurbed and taken over by Black Country Ales. It is due to reopen December 2017.

As Mr Hondo says this is a good old style locals local. 2 roomed with just the one real ale, Hobson's best, though there are 2 handpumps in the lounge bar. I liked it cos its unspoilt without being a dive.

This is the one boozer in the area that hasn't been taken over by the Hipsters.
Very traditional inside - one real ale - Hobsons Best - which was in good nick.
Mixed crowd of football fans (football was on), old guys drinking away the afternoon, pre-wedding crowds and interested pub tourists. That was me.

A two bar traditional pub and the most oriented to locals that I tried in the area with the possible exception of the Brown Lion. It still has a high food/drinks ratio although the food is more homely than say the Drop Forge or Clifden and is ordered and served at a kitchen hatch in the right hand lounge. This room is split down the middle with the counter across one end, benches with stools at Britannia tables the rule here. The public in tongue and groove has a pool table and I think a big screen as well as in the lounge but I didn't tarry long in the public. There are two pulls on the counter in the lounge but only Hobsons Bitter was on and it wasn't a bad pint, OK as part of a Jewellery Quarter crawl but not a destination in its own right.

The Jewellers Arms is one of those pubs i like the look of,it is situated in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter.
Once inside the pub has two seperate rooms, the lounge is to the right, this is a square shaped room that is almost divided into two halfs, the front half is larger and had comfy bench seating on both sides facing each other, the rear half is similar in style, the room is carpeted and seemed well kept.
The bar to the left is smaller and had a pool table in it.
There was only one real ale on the bar,but this was a nice one from Hobsons brewery,Hobsons bitter, this went down very well.
The pub does food and there were plenty eating, the pub was also packed in the lounge with what looked like football suporters, probably Birmingham fans but they seemed friendly enough.
I quite liked this pub.

This is a nice looking Victorian corner terrace pub, with a couple of benches outside, in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter. The pub exterior is mainly in a cream rendered upper (with a large sign on the wall of a jeweller and sash windows), with a green painted lower. There is also some undressed brick on the side.
The interior has two rooms, served by a central bar. The bar has it's own access door at the corner of the pub and seems to be less used than the lounge. It is in green and white decor with a few prints on the walls. The lounge is near bisected in two by a wall. It is in yellow and cream patterned wallpapered walls, with a green cornice and a bit of red. There is a loud carpet and some coloured glass. There are Victorian pictures and prints on the walls. There is a small serving hatch in the corner where you can get bar food, but i haven't eaten here so can't comment on that. There are TVs in both rooms usually with Sky Sports on (or the horse racing) and the music when on is general and at a decent level. The service is always fine and the clientele mixed, usually locals and it is usually busy.
Beer; usual tap stuff with a good Highgate MILD and a class Hobson's Bitter on handpull.
This pub has just got better and better. It is the locals pub in the area. Always worth a visit for the Hobson's bitter or the Highgate MILD. I like it.
