An extended detached 50s/60s styled undressed brick pub, with black paintwork and rear beer garden.
The interior has a couple of rooms but the lounge, called the Dagmar room was in darkness at my visit on a Monday evening. The bar room is a slight L-shape around the serving bar with a pool table in the middle and a dart baord at one end. The room is in red and cream walls with red ceiling and red lino flooring. There was a TV on, with Wimbledon and no music, mind you there was a pool match on at the time. The few pictures on the walls are not so unusual as the blonde-wigged female mannequin that was placed by the bar - the mind boggles. The service was fine and the placed seemed a contented enough locals place really - busy with the pool match being on.
Beer; no real ale, all keg with a decent enough Banks's MILD
A local feel. General beer taps. The beer garden at the back would be nice on a sunny day mind you.
