The Yard of Ale is an estate-like pub that has three dartboards that were all being used during a recent Tuesday evening visit that coincided with the Ladies League night. The interior is open plan with a bar counter on the rear wall that supports standard keg, Madri and Sharp’s Doom Bar on the lone handpump. In the centre of the pub is a pool table that was covered due to the darts. There’s a jukebox, but this was off whilst Gold played on the televisions throughout. This place is OK, but I wouldn’t bother with the walk out of town to visit again.
