Sizeable Gastro pub, with a fine beer garden. Three real ales on - Hook Norton, Goffs Jouster and an unremembered third.
Wasnt sure about quality on a hot summers day and presumably low turnover amongst the diners, but a sample of Goffs allied my fears. Which were confirmed when this and a EuroFizz were North of £12. To be expected.
Pleasant enough place.

Routine food-led Cotswold inn. All the boxes ticked, stone floors, beams, fire, all tables reserved, guidebook stickers on the door, no pound signs on menus. There are a couple of chairs by the fire for drinkers but even they were taken up by a couple with a huge pram who commandeered the entire area for eating.
At least this one hasn't turned its back on those troublesome locals who only spend a tenner (sorry 10) all night: there's a pool/darts/TV room up some stairs at the back which was well populated with people watching the rugby, and had rather more atmosphere than the hushed gastro-sterility below.
Actually you'd be pretty abstemious to only spend 10 all night. A pint and a half of very nice Hooky plus a packet of cheese and onion was the thick end of, err, 8.5.

A Classic Cotswold Pub. Beautiful exterior and interior. Geared for dining but there are some high chairs at the bar. Three beers on - I had a quality pint of Cotswold Way for £3.30 - which I thought was very reasonable.
Dog Friendly.
Would love to stay and eat here - a lovely village in some prime walking country.
