A large village pub of indeterminate age, presumably much extended from when it was a smithy. The front door leads to a reasonably comfortable bar area complete with log fire. it gets more into eating as you progress to the left and on to a conservatory.
It's operated by King Henry's Taverns, a small pubco though judging by the laminated menus featuring burgers, steaks, and whathaveyou, it could be any identikit national.
Tribute and some Marton's concoction badged for Xmas on the pumps: the Tribute was a nice drink. It felt a little scruffy and run down, a cosmetic refurb would be welcome.
OK for what it is, but no particular reason to return.
