Home of Bollington Conservative Club, The Turners is rectangular with a bar area to the right where a serving counter runs across the rear wall facing banquettes along the front wall. Standard and premium keg were available, and one of the three hand pumps was in use drawing a decent pint of Bass. Being a passer-by and non-member, I had to pay full price which was the same as the other pubs in the area. In the left side of the building is a lounge area with more seating, a pool table and a dartboard. Televisions throughout were airing a muted Scotland World Cup qualifier while some very low background music was being supplied by the jukebox. This is a member’s bar so even though it was busy it still had the vibe of a social club, but the service was very friendly, and I was made to feel more than welcome.
