Back street local that has been modernised with timber front bar and wood floor. Seems to be very sporty and probably very localish but good service and the Taylors Landlord beer was excellent

Final Good Beer Guide 2023 tick in Leamington and easily the best of the four.
A corner victorian terrace pub. Bar leads between two separate bars. The bigger front bars packed with six nation rugby fans and all locals who knew each other.
TT Landlord in average condition. I stopped for two and learned a little about rugby.

A good solid pub with a choice of three ales and a very friendly dog. I went for the local Slaughterhouse Saddleback which was fine.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Woodland Tavern
Comfortable, but old fashioned (in a good way), side-street local with 1980s-style furniture and decor in both bars. Bell to ring for service if you arrive at a quieter time. Three of four handpumps in operation when I visited, with Tribute, Lancaster Bomber and Slaughterhouse Saddleback (£3.20, and in good form) on offer. Verging on being remarkable for being unremarkable (if that makes sense).

ROB Camra left this review about Woodland Tavern
A Victorian local with two rooms. One is the lounge and the other the public bar apparently. I couldn't really tell the difference between the two. The room on the left had the football on a large screen, the 3 handpumps still had the same beers on as when RAR called in. The Slaughterhouse was a good pint, but the pub really wasn't to Ms CAMRA's taste so we left after one. Listed in the CAMRA GBG2014.

Real Ale Ray left this review about Woodland Tavern
I have upped the rating by one, for the friendly welcome we received on our visit. I did except this to be a real ale haven, after finding it on Warwick Camra site and from the appearance of the pub, so I was slightly disappointed with the beer choice. There were three handpumps serving up St Austell Tribute, Hobgoblin and Slaugherthouse Saddleback. I thought the Saddleback was in great shape, but I found after a couple of tastes it went flavourless.

Not much woodland near here! A very basic corner pub with three ales (Tribute, Caledonian Autumn Red and Slaughterhouse Saddleback). The Saddleback was rather so-so and served in a Carling glass (presentation…). Needs a bit of TLC in places but the tiled floor is clearly new. Supporters of the local football team with a scarf pinned above the bar gantry. A dart board to the right, with guest arrows available. TV above the door showing Canal+ football. Daily papers available. Not exactly a destination venue and I doubt I’d have it on the list again next time. But it’s OK as far as things go. With a bit of extra effort, it could rise a notch, easily.

Soup Dragon left this review about Woodland Tavern
An end terraced corner pub, in white render and green paintwork. It looks tidy and the photograph doesn't do it justice
The interior is open plan around the central bar. The decor was a beige and white and there were the usual photographs and ephemera for a traditional, locals pub, which was friendly and had a nice dog that slept contentedly under the dart board - mainly as nobody was playing, i am sure. The service was fine and the music was mixed, though more rock based, which was good, and at a decent level. The clientele were locals and a mature mix.
Beer; tap stuff with a couple of handpulls - an untried Slaughterhouse bitter and a fair Wychwood Hobgoblin.
I liked this pub. Although the beer wasn't stunning on my visit, i would give it every chance and return
