Of the two pubs I tried either end of the High Street in Cubbington, this one has been in the Good Beer Guide the most recent (2018) and felt like the nicer pub to have a drink in. It's situated just opposite the village church in some nice, peaceful surroundings.
The pub looks like it has been opened up a little, but still has some quite defined areas. Flooring is a mixture of bare boards, carpets and tiles. Each table has flowers in jars on it. A TV in the right-hand corner was showing live cricket, with another off to the left above a fireplace switched off. There was also a dartboard and a pool table to the left. Various sports shields and trophies were sat behind the bar.
Just a handful of other punters were in, some watching the cricket (probably just because it was on) and another couple on the picnic benches outdoors to the front of the pub.
With 5 handpulls on the bar, Wye Valley HPA & Bass appear to be the regular beers. Guests were Sharp's Doom Bar & Twin Coast & St Austell Proper Job. The solitary cider was Inch's, as the Thatcher's Gold was off.

Things have improved on the beer front, Warwickshire Yer'Bard currently available, and very nice it is too.
2012 notes
----------
Pleasant if unremarkable Victorian village local consisting of two houses knocked together providing a variety of drinking areas: Sky TV and darts to one side, eating to the other. Very popular with the locals, walkers and Leamington diners-out. In the current GBG with a couple of interesting guest ales. You'd think they'd make a feature of the Warwickshire Brewery 50 yards down the road but no such luck.

Proper, honest, old school boozer.
Very full, but it was New Year's Eve lunch time.
Four real ales on - I went for the doom bar. I should have gone for the local Warwickshire Lady Godiva brew. I can have that anywhere.
