Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Weavers Arms
Quite an anonymous, side-street local because there is no obvious signage, just an old M&B lantern above the doorway to suggest what might lie within. This turns out to be a busy, loud public bar to the right and and a more comfortable and quieter lounge on the other side of the entrance. Just Bass (£4.10) available from a total of four handpumps on the two counters, but this was excellent and very popular by the sound of the other orders I heard.

As Ian Mapp has said below, the Weavers Arms is Bulkington's only entry in the current Good Beer Guide, presumably due to the quality of its Bass.
The Bass was indeed the solitary ale on in the main room, where I chose to sat. I could see that a second handpull was clipped in the side room, but assumed it also to be Bass. The fridges were very bare here, which led me to assume that a change of ownership has either just happened, or will happen soon.
Customers were all blokes. Most were in the main bar area, with its imposing fireplace. One was in the side room and another couple were just outside the door at the rear.
I thought this pub lacked the atmosphere and the beer that the Olde Chequers Inn had and am surprised that it continues to appear in the Good Beer Guide. I didn't try it, but the Bass must be good.

A first review for a Good Beer Guide 2022 entry?
I took a chance that Bank Holidays would not follow the usual 4pm Monday opening hours and was rewarded with a midday open door.
Just me, the landlord taking down the Xmas Decs and an overfiendly pub dog called Ted.
Just the one real ale on in my side of the two roomed pub - a Bass is all you need. Black Sheep looked like it was turned around in the other side.
I've never had it poured like a Guinness before and the landlord left it for 5 mins at 2/3 poured to continue with his Xmas tree. The end result was a fine pub.
Obviously difficult to rate a pub in such lonely circumstance - although Ted did give me ear a nibble. Looked like a good community boozer and dedication to good beer.
