Rather good is this fifteen century thatched house. Bar to the right, lounge to the left, furnished in traditional pub style. There's a snug and a restaurant too, and a nice looking garden if you wish to brave the November chill.
A Marston's sign outside lowered our expectations, so we were surprised to see half a dozen pumps behind the covid screen, with examples from Salopian, Oakham, to supplement the usual suspects. Oakham's Heights of Oblivion went down well.
There's clearly a following for cask here, I didn't see anyone on lager on Sunday afternoon.
This is a well presented traditional English pub, too many of which are gone. Well worth a visit.

Lovely thatched cottage with a medieval cross outside.
Four real ales on and a mild - Snecklifter was in great condition.
Nice local.

This is a really nice looking pub with the church close by and a small cross at the front.
Once inside there is a longish narrow room at the front of the pub which is the main drinking area this is very comfortable and i would have happily stayed here all afternoon there is also a room at the back probably for diners.
This is a Marstons house and i had a drink of Pedigree which was very nice there was also a marstons seasonal called Long Hop.
This is a really nice pub in a very nice setting and well worth a visit,
.
