Backstreet corner pub which my notes tell me I last visited in 2016. To be honest, I don't recall it.
This is a cosy, carpeted and wallpapered single room pub divided into a number of distinct sections. All areas had TVs showing live FA Cup football. There were at least 3 TVs that I could see. We sat next to some pretty stained glass windows.
A few old boys were playing dominoes at one end. Indeed, the age group for customers here does seem to be in the senior range. Although, I can't imagine most of the customers playing the games machine which was there. So, there must be a few younger ones as well.
We were served by an old school barmaid. There are 4 handpulls. One had a clip for a house beer turned round. The others had Black Sheep Blonde, Bass & Vocation Heart & Soul. Still run as part of the usually reliable Fitzgerald's chain, I though the ale range could have been better here. Nevertheless, it's still a solid backstreet local that is listed in the Good Beer Guide.

Another well run Fitzgerald house and is well worth a visit. Hosts a traditional and very comfortable interior. The two stained glass windows at the end of the bar are quite stunning. There were four handpumps, with three in use on our visit. I went for the Roosters IPA and Delavals Seaton Hall.
