A corner pub at a big junction, part of the Flaming Grill chain. Two hand pumps but no cask beers, the two pump clips being adverts for two Lilley's ciders, which were bag in box affairs; on a whim I went for a half of the elderflower version, which didn't seem to contain any apples and at 3.4% abv precious little alcohol either. (The server felt it necessary to warn me that this was a flat cider.) As I left, placing my glass on the counter, I wondered if anyone would thank me or wish me a nice day, but it's not that sort of pub. I only go to places like this so that others don't have to, and I hope you're all grateful.
