A village pub, facing the green, which has been thoroughly modernised in a sort of early Habitat style. There were no fewer than 3 large families in for food on a Saturday lunchtime, and of course no-one was using the dining area at the back. While it's nice to see a local hostelry thriving, it didn't really feel very publike. A solitary Theakstons Best handpump provides the cask ale, except it promptly ran out just as I was served.

A pleasant village pub with modern beams and an archway replacing the former internal walls. The bar is brick-built and features four hand pumps, which at the time of my visit had three real ales available: Sharps Doom Bar, Black Sheep Bitter and Golden Sheep. Nothing to get excited about, but my Black Sheep Bitter was in good condition. Music on the CD player, unusually, was cover versions of 60s hits - a strange choice when the originals are two-a-penny these days.
