Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Castle
Modernised village pub, given a surprisingly light and modern makeover inside the partly opened-out interior. Also has a few new benches in the narrow front garden area, and a beer garden at the back. Just Harvey's (£6.00) from the bank of three handpumps until the sun comes out properly and turnover increases...

Nice village pub but not as nice and pubby as it was due to a recent gastro makeover, so expect the usual signs and symptoms: too few too-big tables with reserved signs on them mid-afternoon when few people are about, families with noisy kids out of control, and a long menu but no chance of a sandwich. This one does make a feature of its beer though, and is in the current GBG - I think the local branch rotates it with the Bell, and the Harvey's Best was spot on. Worth a look if you're in the area.
