The Cricketers was a 50s built pub that was situated opposite the cricket green.
Once inside i went in a fairly smart room that ran across the front of the pub this room was carpeted and had comfortable bench seating,the pub was a Youngs tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Youngs bitter and this was a very nice drink the other beer was Youngs Special.
Youngs sold the pub off in late 2009 which probably lead to its demise.
