A typical country pub set in the small village of West Horsley, there is car parking available to the front of the pub and a spacious if basic beer garden to the left hand side of the pub as you look at it.Inside you find a fairly small bar area in dark wood and the theme continues through the pub with what appears to be genuine dark stained old oak beams clad here and there with various horse brasses. As you enter the pub there is a small area to the right of you of what appears to be some original flagstone flooring, the rest of the pubs floor has been covered over with something synthetic and rather nondescript plain carpeting, a shame in my view. The main drinking area stretches a fair length of the pub with a lounge type room at the far end and another seperate area at the opposite end of the pub designed I guess for dining purposes .Beer wise normal tap stuff and four hand pumps offering London Pride, Surrey Hills Shere Drop and Tillingbourne Falls Gold , the fourth had a Young's Bitter clip reversed, not a bad selection and my choice of the Falls Gold was a decent pint. A nice pub worth stopping off for should you be nearby.
