The Globe was a decent looking corner pub that was on the opposite corner to the Gardeners Arms.
Once inside the pub had two rooms i went in a smart lounge which was carpeted and had comfortable bench seating and it had a cosy feel to it.
When i went in this pub it was operating as a free house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Tetley bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was John Smiths bitter which was on handpump.
I was quite happy having a drink in this pub and it is a shame that it has now closed down.
