A village locals pub, owned by Greene King. A single room, the main serving area is a bit narrow, not helped by the occupied bar stools, but this is village life and wasn't a problem. Four handpumps with two in use, Ruddles County and Otter Bright, the Otter was ok if not a particular favourite,in fair condition given the 32 degree temperature at the time of my visit.Probably not a place to go out of your way for but it certainly nowhere near as bleak as the picture the previous review paints.

Dogs in the kitchen kids in the bar coffin dodgers in the restaurant - a proper country pub and well worth a visit.
