A 1930s roadside pub on the site of an earlier Victorian alehouse called The Cob and Pen. There is a small parking area at the front and a shady paved garden at the side from which the single long bar can be entered through French doors. The garden is mainly used by smokers. The garden end of the bar is laid out for diners, while the right hand end (as seen from the road) is more of a lounge area with various dogs and humans lounging around. There is also a pool table. The staff were not very welcoming, and the locals were suspicious of us. There was no real ale on, just two pumps sitting idle on the bar. I doubt I'll come back here.

Locals pub, Tetris brick shape. Quite big although the interior is fairly featureless in mushroom and brown shades and is quite battered (the imposing wood bar is nice though). To left and rear is a tidy garden with kids play stuff. Dart board. Two pumps with nothing on, so a Guinness did for me. WhatPub says that this place is subject to development speculation which might explain why things weren’t as good as they should have been.

Locals pub, one long room with the bar to the rear with an opened out side room with a pool table and dart board, some Aldershot Football Club memorabilia on the walls including a signed shirt, there is a beer garden and a carpark, live sports are advertised, there are three flat screens in the pub. On the bar are three handpumps, none in use on my visit which was probably for the better as two had reversed clips both Doombar. Seems a friendly pub ,particularly whom I took to be Landlord and Landlady, however the pub does little else for me.

This is a really friendly pub, with karaoke, live music, and the odd Ann Summers party. There is a fair sized car park, large garden, and heated patio area for the smokers. Bikers are welcome, as are customers with families or dogs. The pub is becoming well known for the live music events, with bands on at least once a month, and open mic 1st and 3rd sunday of every month.
