A relatively new-build hotel by the bridge (as the name suggests), with a slightly disappointing frontage mainly due to shoehorning in an ugly split-level car park. Inside however is all slickly modern upmarket and is divided up into several different areas, with quite a reasonable lounge area round the bar counter. Elsewhere is primarily laid up for dining with a large area of riverside decking, although this faces a backwater rather then the Thames proper so is not as scenic as it ought to be. Being in the Young's stable, the cask beers are Special and Original (or Ordinary as we prefer to call it) with Proper Job as guest. The food is good quality but the menu is not hugely exciting. All in all, tolerable but it doesn't make the most of its setting.

Definately had a feel of an upmarket hotel as we entered, but we passed the reception area to the bar. Most of the room taken up with tables set up for restaurant use, but they do have an area for those wanting a drink only. One real ale handpull serving Fullers London Pride which was obscured by their freestanding food adverts but they also had a Rebellion IPA in key keg at the back of the bar which we chose. Not bad actually. Better than most key keg products as it was not chilled to death.

Best place for food & drink in Chertsey by a mile. Views of the river Thames and a hotel as well, we were really impressed. Good 'Pub Grub', shepherds pie, cumberland sausage, all tastes homemade. The rest of the 'town' is a write off, typical boozers; pissed regulars, smokey - you get the picture. No wonder this place is always busy.
