Back street local in an attractive half-timbered building. J shaped inside with a green colour scheme though 'mushy pea' probably wasn't the wisest choice of shade, especially as I suspect the original wood panelling it has been glooped over would have been pretty tidy just stripped and varnished. Darts, pool and TV football on offer during my Saturday afternoon visit. Pub quiz and karaoke advertised. Two ales on, Courage Best and an unusual sighting of Robinsons Wizard; I decided against my better judgement to try the Wizard which was perfunctory but at least drinkable, unlike most of the ales on offer in Addlestone that day. A few customers in and a welcoming matriarch figure behind the bar made this place feel like a decent local, even if there is plenty of room for betterment. 5.5

A large pub set in a residential area a little away from the main town. Inside the single room is traditional and horseshoe shaped with normal tables and chairs scattered throughout.Various entertainment is to be had, there is a pool table , darts, quiz and karaoke nights as well as Sky and BT sports. Just two ales on, predictably Doom Bar and a rather tatty handwritten clip
displaying the legend Cheshire Gold, the solitary barmaid didn't know the brewery.
This is obviously a local community pub and as such does what it says on the can, it's not one I am likely to seek out again though.

This pub was recommended to me by a Gooner so thought it might be a bit "Iffy". How wrong I was. Me and my mate Scunny decided to visit one Saturday Lunchtime. Lovely Pub with friendly Bar Manager (Becky). Was made most welcome with my daughter Megan and Scunny's daughter Lauren. Lovely secluded Garden at the rear. Will be back when in the area.
