Real Ale Ray left this review about The Swan Inn
This thatched 16th century inn is situated just outside the village and can be seen from the road. The pub opens at 12-11 most days, which is unusual as most pubs in the area shut mid afternoon. This is very much a locals pub and when we arrived around three, there were five people of retired age, drinking away. I greeted them all on arrival at the bar and there was a bit of silence, as we were tourists. After a couple of minutes, we were welcomed to sit and join them and what a fantastic bunch, chatting away to us.
There was one firkin of Adnams on stillage, which was superb. The only problem we had with the pub was trying to get on our way. The pub consisted of a central lounge and small bar, a pool room to the right and a small dining room to the left, not in use. The front of the pub had a few settees along a covered roof area and a garden with bench seating.
