Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Old Mariner
Very attractive old backsteet inn, comprising a cosy and traditional bar with a small dining area behind and another room at the back. Split-level beer garden to the rear - part patio (under cover), but mostly grassed. Pride, Wherry, Youngs Ordinary, Spitfire and Wolf Straw Dog (£3.20).

Old Boots left this review about The Old Mariner
Low ceilinged, flag floored, comfortable old pub with tobacco coloured walls, lots of “stuff” some of it nautical, old bottles, stone jugs, a piano in the corner, settles, pews and an eclectic mix of chairs and tables, quarry tiled floor, a passion for rugby and a collection of five well kept ales on handpump are part of what makes this a proper pub. The beers are national and regional brands but none the worse for that, Adnams, Youngs, London Pride and Spitfire being the standards with a rotating guest on the end pump. There is a food oriented double room at the rear decorated with more nautical prints. Quiet when I was in but I was told by locals that it does get very busy due to the quality of the beer.
