The landlord was arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire which devastated the pub on 18 April 2013, according to BBC News and the East Anglian Daily Times. The roof has fallen in and the pub is surrounded by scaffolding. This was the last remaining pub in the town, so it is to be hoped it will be restored.
