Again, not really a pub, but in this case a posh modern hotel and restaurant with an atmospheric historic bar hiding inside a medieval timber framed skin. Lots of low ceilings and beams but very modern posh dining areas abound throughout the rambling building. However, the bar area to the left as you enter does have a bit of character and there is a couple of internal lounge areas and a nice green garden area out back to just enjoy a beer. The bar has two handpumps nowadays and these had Nethergate ales on in the form of Golden Gate Premium Bitter and Suffolk County Chestnut Ale. We tried both and they were both in good nick.
So. not really a pub, but if you fancy a beer on Lavenham High Street this was the pick for me.

If you want indulgence then this is the place for you. The main bar I found to be a little imposing and lacked variety. On handpump three Adnams which were excellent!
