Thatched pub overlooking a large village green, surrounded by other thatched properties. Sitting outside at the front, with a vintage car arriving, it felt like a bygone era.
But it was a sign of the times that the pub was not allowing people indoors (except possibly to visit the facilities). So, I never got to see what is supposed to be a nice interior. Opening times were also severely limited.
Greene King IPA is the regular ale. Two guests were Adnams Ghost Ship & Mighty Oak The Old Man and Sea. The latter was an easy-drinking stout.
Locals seemed to be enjoying themselves and the table service was friendly. Recommended, especially if allowed inside.
