Blue Scrumpy left this review about George & Dragon
Another fairly quiet village pub that went quieter still as I walked into the bar, which can be found to the right of the entrance door. A slightly busier lounge could be found to the left, where the toilets can also be located. There is a garden to the rear, which I didn't explore.
The bar has a traditional tiled floor, with a fireplace at one end on top of which was a clock. Pot plants were placed in front of the fireplace. Hopefully, they are moved in the winter, unless they are tropical. There were a few plaques for what seemed to be a local RAF squadron and curiously there was a picture of Statler & Waldorf from the Muppets on a shelf above the bar. A TV was showing horse racing, with nobody watching.
At the bar, the 3 cask ales were Wainwright Amber, Directors & Razor Back. I risked the Wainwright, which was perhaps one of these new-style live ales. But in all honesty, there wasn't much life to it at all. The keg cider was Somersby.
Dogs are welcome, wifi was available and live music was being promoted for the first weekend in August.
