The Old Blue Anchor is a single room high street boozer with a dartboard and a pool table that is free to play on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Live sport is advertised and the football shirts nailed to the ceiling attest to this being a football centric pub. During a recent Sunday afternoon visit a music channel was being aired on the plasma screens whilst a Premier League match was airing on Sky Sports so I imagine this pub only shows BT Sport. I found the service to be very friendly, but there was only one other customer due to a JBO to the races. There is no cask ale and I didn’t note any food advertisements. I would use this pub if I lived locally.
