This is an old building with the inside split into three rooms. There is a door on the left as you enter leading to the public bar and the bar itself is straight ahead with a small carpeted lounge to the right. Further on from this is a tiny snug and then what looked like a small patio outside. The public bar is the largest room with basic furnishings, a decent darts area and a jukebox. I couldn't see any TV screens at all which is a bonus.
The bar has three hand pumps that on my visit had Doom Bore, Nethergate Suffolk County and Conquest ESB. I went for the Conquest ESB (£3.10) which was in good nick.
This was easily the best of the three pubs visited in Haverhill which is a poor town for pubs.

This has the potential for a great pub, but , like most Haverhill pubs , falls well short of the mark. Could do with a good decorating and cleaning out. Would recommend going to the toilet before visiting this establishment as the toilets are somewhat of a health hazzard.
Pokey little bar to the right where the locals congregate , bigger bar to the left where the rest of Haverhill flop about.
