Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Bear Inn
One of two pubs in the village of Beyton, this one was quiet on our early Sunday evening visit. In fact, we were probably lucky to find it open, as the website states that it only opens at 3 or 4pm on 4 days of the week, with closing at 7:30 on a Sunday.
There is a small bar area to the left to the entrance and a slightly larger drinking area to the right. The pub has been modernised and didn't really have much character. But the landlord and the barmaid were both friendly.
We had planned to eat here. Pizzas are served. They can be eaten on the premises or ordered to take away. We ate in and were the last to leave. Although, a couple of ladies were arriving just as we were leaving and shortly before the 7:30 closing time. Whether they managed to get served or not, I'll never know. But they were the sort that you wouldn't dare turn away!
Just one real ale was on here. That was Mole Trap. They also had a real cider (Old Rosie).
