Large roadside pub with 4 beers on when I called. Greene King IPA, Abbot's, Darkstar Hophead and Woodforde's Wherry. I went for the Wherry which was fine. Very friendly service. Best to check opening times as it closes between 3 and 5 in the week!

This is the quintessential English pub and whenever I'm over in England this is my pub of choice.
Run with love, dedication and passion by Willy & Barbara Amos and family, this pub makes real home made food which is quite beyond compare, expertly poured fine ales including guest ales and lagers.
The Minced beef pie in gravy with mash potato is wonderful, as is their legendary Chicken curry (hurry fast, this invariably runs out all too quickly!) and, their jam sponge with custard is the stuff dreams are made of.
Oh, for a pint of "Abbot's Ale" a packet of cheese & onion crisps, a pickled egg and a real log fire! All these things and those mentioned in this review and much more are here in abundance at "The 8 Bells Pub".
