Soup Dragon left this review about The Lord Nelson
A terraced white rendered pub with black paintwork and etched windows that is somewhat older than the exterior presents.
The interior has two rooms. To the right on entry, near hidden, is a small room in red, with a sofa and a more modern look. The main bar is an L-shaped room with white artex walls and white ceiling, with beams and a stone floor and a tiled fireplace. At the far end there is a pool table and several TVs are dotted about, showing football whenever i am in. There are sofas, chairs and bench seats and beer and whiskey mirrors and pictures, as well as a few generic ones. The service is friendly and they do food, though i have never eaten here. The music was pretty loud and charty when i have visited and the clientele has a leaning towards the younger.
Beer; tap stuff mainly, with a single handpull. I have had Pedigree and Elgood's Thin Ice on my last visits.
It can get a bit loud, but i am always happy to see what the guest ale is.
