Soup Dragon left this review about The Bank House Inn
A white rendered detached village pub, with black paint work, hanging baskets and patio. There is also an undressed brick extension.
There are two rooms. On the left when entering is the bar. The bar is in white and undressed brick with beams also in white. There is a brick fire, with a dart board, a TV (though this wasn’t on at my visit) and a bar billiard table. There are old photos of the area and the footy teams on the walls, along with a few sporting trophies – the music was rock based and at a decent level. The lounge, to the right, is partitioned up into three parts, ending in an L-shaped dining area – I didn’t eat, so I can’t comment on the food. The decor is again white, beams, wood panel and undressed brick and there is a brick fire place. The service was good and the clientele small, but mixed.
Beer; tap stuff with London Pride, Black Sheep Bitter and a decent Sharpe’s Honey on handpull.
This is a lovely place, especially worth a visit when combined with the Green Man over the road, though i believe this is the nicer. I will certainly return to them both.
